Our Mission
Why We Started This Blog
It started with a love of books, a curiosity about RV life, and a desire to share what we were learning along the way.
How It Started
We are a family of four humans and two dogs who started out with a plan to buy a motorhome, travel across the country, and see what we thought of RV life. It turns out we loved it, and it paired naturally with our love of reading. As we read and rambled our way around the country, people kept asking questions and wanted us to share what we were learning, so we started this blog.
The Reading Part
Books have always been our escape and a big part of our education. Shawn is a school librarian who loves to read for both work and pleasure, and John loves to read to learn new things. We have passed that love of reading on to our two daughters. Long before we hit the road, we were tearing through novels, memoirs, and every kind of guidebook. We started reviewing books because we kept getting asked what we were reading and what people should pick up next, so we wrote it down.
The Rambling Part
In 2021, we bought a 30 foot Thor Class A motorhome and started our rambling. Since then, we have explored 36 states, made countless campfire memories, and found beauty in everything from quiet small towns to dramatic coastlines and wide-open desert roads. We created this space to share what we have learned and loved so it can inspire your own adventures.
